How to Select a Suitable Lignosulfonate Grade
Start with the target function, then match product form, solubility, ion type, sugar level, ash content, pH and dosage range. Sodium lignosulfonate is usually preferred for dispersion and water reduction. Calcium lignosulfonate is often chosen for binding and pellet strength. Potassium lignosulfonate and lignohumate are useful in agriculture and fertilizer systems.
For liquid dosing or dust control, liquid lignosulfonate can reduce handling time. For dry blending, powder grades are easier to mix, store and ship.
